Here's an overview of what's happening in May in the state's first and only Bicycle-Friendly Community:

All Month Long

Little City Pizza "Bike Pizza". A portion of "Bike Pizza" sales will be donated to Simsbury Bike Sculpture. Find out what topping makes the pizza special!

Simsbury Therapeutic Massage & Wellness 10% off "Bike Month Massage" if you call and mention National Bike Month. Donations for bike sculpture will be accepted and Simsbury Therapeutic will make a contribution. Take good care of those tired muscles!

Harvest Café Free Coffee with Breakfast if you mention National Bike Month. The perfect spot to take a break along the bike trail.

Peoberry's Café "Livestrong Caramel Latte Chiller." Cool off after your hearty bike ride.

May 5
Valley Yoga & Healing Center Trail Ride & Gentle Yoga Class. 4-6 p.m., 90-minute, trail ride followed by gentle yoga class that emphasizes stretching. No yoga experience necessary. Registration and fee. http://www.thevalleyyoga.com/

May 6
Mitchell Auto Group Presents Mike Steidley Mountain Bike Stunt Show, 1 p.m. An action-packed performance that will make us all realize how old we are!

May 9
Red Stone Pub Fundraiser for Simsbury Bike Sculpture; 5:30-7:30 p.m. A portion of drink sales donated to sculpture and donations will be encouraged. Guest bartenders will make the evening a stand-out!

May 19
Bill Selig Jewelers Simsbury Bike Sculpture Necklace. The charm will be a miniature of the sculpture and a portion of sales will be donated to the sculpture. Don't miss out on the latest bling!

May 25
Tower Ridge Country Club Fundraiser for Simsbury Bike Sculpture; 50% of greens fees all day donated to sculpture. A round of golf is a wonderful way to get those legs in shape for bicycling!
